With a pleasant ambience and distinctive food concept, Xero Degrees fits the description of a “perfect and cute café”. With its economical yet mouth-watering food, it provides complete justice to the pocket. The outlet I visited is located in Punjabi Bagh, but Xero Degrees has many other branches too, in Connaught Place, Hudson Lane, Satya Niketan and Gurgaon.
The décor is really pretty and the place is the perfect combination of beauty of food with taste. The beautiful chandeliers and the wall design are definitely the cherries to the cake. The presentation of food is so beautiful that you won’t be able to stop yourself from clicking a picture or two and posting the same on Instagram. The seating is super comfortable, with cushiony chairs and sofas and fancy mini cushions. Everything about the place provides an aesthetic feel and soothes the mind completely.
On the recommendation of a friend, I visited this beautiful café and need I say, it was definitely the right choice! The place acted as a definite mood changer and I felt all the stress evaporating from my body as soon as I entered the place.
With a few friends by my side, I ordered the Butter Chicken Cheesy Fries and Tandoori Fries. And I won’t exaggerating if I say they tasted absolutely heavenly! The Butter Chicken version were super creamy with succulent chicken pieces, and the Tandoori version were smoky and delicious to the core!
I also ordered Penne Barberesca or White Sauce Pasta. The pasta was cooked al-dente and the sauce was really rich, creamy and cheesy. For all those who love cheese, this pasta is definitely worth trying!
The next thing I went for was the Makhni Paneer Pizza. The paneer chunks were soft and flavourful and the sauce was smoky and buttery, giving the perfect taste to the pizza. The most interesting bit about the pizza was its shape – it was shaped like a heart. And definitely touched my heart with its amazing taste!
To quench my thirst of something chocolatey, I ordered the KitKat Premium Shake. The shake in itself was super delicious and chocolatey, but what fascinated me the most was the presentation of the shake – it was served in glass jars and topped with a dollop of cream and KitKat chunks. The jar was full to the brim, providing the perfect quantity for one person.
Food is definitely the most important part of a café but Xero Degrees took it up a notch. If anyone of you has visited the place, you would agree with me that the presentation of the food and the utensils it is served in, is what takes the crown!
The fries and pastas are served in beakers, the same as we used to see in science labs! Yes, you heard it right, my friends. The same beakers we used for science lab experiments (obviously a bigger size and better quality) have been used to serve food at the café. The drinks are served in glass jars or mugs, or sometimes even the long, cylindrical flasks.
To sum it all, Xero Degrees is the perfect place to visit if you’re all about aesthetic ambience and Instagram-worthy food. The hospitality provided is really good, and the music does tend to keep your foot tapping.
I would definitely recommend this place to my readers as it is quintessentially beautiful, in terms of both, food and feel!
