Moreover, the market has flavourful lip-smacking food cooking styles from differed portions of India - Momos from Nepal, Bamboos Hot Chicken from Nagaland, Kahwa and Kebabs from Jammu, Vada Pao from Maharashtra and many more such delicacies.
Dilli Haat is the amalgamation of rustic craftsmanship and society culture. It has an outdoor theatre where social occasions are performed on an everyday basis. It is an imaginative spot for craftsmanship, speciality and culture and an ideal spot to catch each one of those real pictures you generally needed to.
Through this blog post, I’ll be discussing my visit to the famous Nagaland Stall at Dilli Haat.
Whenever we think of the word ‘momos’, the North-Eastern taste of the same hits our psyche. On my visit to Dilli Haat, I tried momos at three different slowdowns - Nagaland, Sikkim and Assam. Though the ones at Sikkim and Assam were really good, the ones from the Nagaland stall took my breath away! They were definitely one of the best momos I’ve ever had! The rich and juicy filling, and a soft upper layer of dough which bound the filling together tasted oh-so-amazing, especially with that tangy peppery red chilli sauce.
I also had noodles and chilli chicken from the stall. The noodles were cooked al-dente and had a really different, Eastern touch to them. The Chilli Chicken was juicy and succulent on the inside, with a mildly-crunchy batter on top, and generously seasoned with chilli and other spices.
The Fruit Beer is a must-have from the Nagaland stall. It provided the much-needed relief from the spice of the chilli chicken. A reviving beverage with a blend of organic flavour - it was, without a doubt, the best natural product brew I ever had.
The only dish which I didn’t really like was the veg clear soup. I was expecting a clear broth with a deep rich flavour of the vegetables. But it turned out to be completely bland, with lack of seasoning and not much flavour from the vegetables could be tasted. It was definitely a let-down for me.
Overall, my experience of the place was really good. The ambience is a pleasant one, and the seating is comfortable. They provide both secured and outdoors territory for sitting. The staff is warm and welcoming and their service is also quick and up to the mark. A personal tip – evening or night time is the ideal time to visit this spot, the lighting makes the place even more beautiful and serene.
If you’re looking for authentic North-Eastern food, Nagaland Stall is a perfect place to satisfy your cravings! Do make sure to visit it if you’re in or around Dilli Haat!
